Abstract:

A field investigation entitled “Effect of foliar application of nutrients on growth and yield of soybean (Glycine max L. Merill)” was conducted in kharif season of 2024 at Experimental Farm, Department of Agronomy, VNMKV, Parbhani. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. The experiment consists of ten treatments viz T1: RBD + 2% Urea, T2: RBD + 2% DAP, T3: RBD + 2% KNO3, T4: RBD + 2% 19:19:19, T5: RBD + 0:52:34, T6: RBD + 2% Nano DAP @ 4ml/lit, T7: RBD + 2% Nano urea @ 6ml/lit, T8: RDF + 2% Nano urea @ 8ml/lit, T9: Absolute control, T10: RDF. As regards yield attributing characters, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, number off seeds per plant, weight of pods per plant, weight of seeds per plant, seed index, grain yield (3100 kg ha-1), straw yield (3859 kg ha-1) of soybean were recorded significantly the highest under treatment T4: RBD + 2% 19:19:19. Significantly the highest gross monetary returns (₹151652 ha-1), net monetary returns (₹100762 ha-1) and B:C ratio (2.97) was obtained in treatment T4: RBD + 2% 19:19:19. While, T9: Absolute control obtained minimum gross monetary returns, net monetary returns and B:C ratio among all the treatments.
