Effects of integrated nutrient management on growth and yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Abstract:

An experiment was conducted on Research Farm of AKS University, Satna to evaluate the effects of INM on wheat crop during rabi season of 2023-2024. The total of 11 treatments were evaluated with different doses of Vermicompost (@ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ton/ha) and Nitrogen (@ 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105, 120, 135, 150 kg/ha) for several growth and yield contributing characters. The result indicates that the treatment T8 (Vermicompost @ 7 ton/ha + N @ 105 kg/ha) significantly increased plant yield attributing parameters, withnumber of spike/plant (48.77), number of grains/spike (56.89), straw yield (70.79), grain yield (4826.22 kg/plot) and grain yield (5.32 t/ha). These treatments may have increased dry matter production and effective partitioning to the economic sink.
