Abstract:

Agro-morphological Characterization of Aromatic Genotypes of Rice (Oryza sativa L.) variety kalanamak germplasm (Aromatic). The suggested procedures were all followed to produce a high-quality harvest. Observations on ten randomly selected genotypes in each replication were recorded on different characters, viz., Days to 50% flowering, Days to maturity, Plant Height, No. of effective tillers per hill, effective tiller m2, Panicle length, Flag leaf area cm, flag leaf length, Test weight, were subjected to statistical and biometrical analysis. From the experiment results, it can be concluded that the genotypes Kalanamak Kiran, PB-1692, Pusa Narendra, K.N-1, Sabour Moti, Protozin, Brisa Vikash Sugandha Dhan-1, were found to be the best performers in terms of yield per plot (kg). The traits that showed high heritability for flag leaf length, high PCV, and GCV were observed in yield per hectare and yield per plot kg. Yield per plant showed positive and highly significant genotypic and phenotypic correlation with spikelet fertility. Path coefficient analysis showed a positive and direct effect on days to spikelet fertility and effective tillers per hill at both genotypic and phenotypic levels. It can hence be taken into consideration while making selection criteria in the breeding objective to bring out genetic improvement.
