Abstract:

The creation of environment friendly, biodegradable packaging is now absolutely essential. Biodegradable products break down into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass, provide an alternative to traditional plastics. Biodegradable packaging is more environmentally friendly than traditional plastics, although the majority of them have chemical additives that are not sustainable. Looking to the extensive use of synthetic materials in food packaging industry, an applicable alternative is essential to control the environmental hazard being created by the disposal of these synthetic plastics to the surroundings. As an alternative to synthetic materials, a variety of natural materials found in nature have the potential to be the preferred material for the manufacturing of packaging materials needed in the food business.
