Abstract:

The present investigation entitled “Impact of integrated nutrient management on tomato growth and yield” conducted at Horticultural Research Farm, Sardar Patel University, Balaghat, in Rabi Season of 2021. The details of the investigation they have eight treatments with control, data pertaining to various criteria used for treatment evaluation were analyzed statistically, the total nine treatments with control they are T1-Control (No NPK), T2-100:60:50 kg NPK ha-1 thrugh Urea, SSP and MOP, T3-5.0 MT Vermicompost ha-1, T4-10.0 MT FYM ha-1, T5-50:30:25 kg NPK ha-1 thrugh Urea, SSP and MOP + 2.5 MT Vermicompost ha-1, T6-50:30:25 kg NPK ha-1 thrugh Urea, SSP and MOP + 5 MT FYM ha-1, T7-25:15:12.5 kg NPK ha-1 thrugh Urea, SSP and MOP + 1.875 MT Vermicompost ha-1 + 3.75 MT FYM ha-1, T8-ZnSO4 0.2 + H3BO3 0.2% + CuSO4 0.2% FeSO4 0.2% and T9-ZnSO4 0.4 + H3BO3 0.4% + CuSO4 0.4% FeSO4 0.4%, the experiment was laid out on Randomized Block Design with three replications. The observation of growth and yield of tomato crop i.e., Plant population, plant height (cm) at 30 and 60 DAT, Number of leaves per plant at 30 and 60 DAT, Number of branches per plant at 30 and 60 DAT, Length of internode (cm), Days to 50% flowering, Number of fruits per plant, Length of fruit (cm) and fruit yield per plant. The result revealed that the maximum plant height (cm) at 30 and 60 DAT (23.68, and 50.74 cm), Number of leaves per plant at 30 and 60 DAT (15.55, and 27.08), Number of branches per plant at 30 and 60 DAT (9.22, and 9.89), Length of internode (6.89 cm), Days to 50% flowering (52.22 Days), Number of fruits per plant (27.12), Length of fruit (7.42 cm) and fruit yield per plant (1.36 kg/plant) was observed under T5 (50:30:25 kg NPK ha-1 thrugh Urea, SSP and MOP + 2.5 MT Vermicompost ha-1), while the minimum was observed under control.
