The present study was performed to investigate the effect of different floor type on the growth performance of Large White Yorkshire growing pigs. The study was conducted at the Livestock Farm Complex, College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Central Agricultural University, Aizawl, Mizoram. A total of twenty-four (24) weaned piglets with an average age of 4 weeks and average body weight of 6.90 kg were selected for the current experiment. Weaning of the piglets was done at 28th day of age and the selected 24 numbers of piglets were divided into two treatment groups’ viz. groups T1, and T2. The animals under T1 group were kept in the solid concrete floor and T2 group piglets were kept in the plastic slatted floor up to 16th week of age. All the routine and periodic managemental practices e.g. vaccination, deworming, etc. were carried out throughout the experiment period. Statistical analysis revealed non-significant differences in the body weight (kg) and weight gain (kg) of growing pigs in different treatment groups during the experiment.
