The current experiment was carried out to know the causes and season wise mortality pattern of Zovawk of livestock farm Complex, College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, CAU, Selesih, Aizawl, Mizoram from Dec 2013 to Feb 2018. Routine managemental practices of piglets and adult pigs were performed as per the standard procedure. After the death of the different categories of pigs, the post mortem of the pigs were performed in Department of Veterinary Pathology of the college for a period of 5 years. The morality pattern was recorded from weaning to adult. The causes of mortality were categorized as per the different age group i.e. 0-56 days and above 56 days. Season wise mortality rates the viz. summer, monsoon and winter were also recorded. Age group (0-56 days) revealed 57.5% and above 56 days 42.5% mortality respectively. The causes of mortality of pigs (0-56 days) were enteritis, pneumonia and Classical swine fever. In other age group (above 56 days), the causes of mortality were pneumonia, enteritis, and other causes i.e. septicemia, and trauma. From the present study it may be concluded that the major causes of mortality in both the groups were enteritis and pneumonia in winter season. The study revealed highest mortality rate in winter followed by monsoon and summer.
