The study provides insights into the population dynamics of the freshwater crab, Sartoriana tribolata, in the River Burhi Gandak of Bihar. It examines their temporal distribution and size frequency distribution, revealing an average weight of 22.28±13.83 g and a mean carapace width of 37.23±8.43 mm. Berried females were first observed in April, reaching their peak in May to June. These females carried macrolecithal eggs with a distinct orange color, enveloped within two layers of membrane. Fecundity ranged from 350 to 910 eggs, with an average of 613±113 eggs, and was significantly correlated with carapace width. Breeding molting among females predominantly occurred in March-April, with an average egg diameter of 2.1 mm.
