An experiment entitled on “Effect of Farm yard manure and Gibberellic acid on Growth and Yield of Maize (Zea mays L.)” was conducted during Kharif season of 2024 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agriculture Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Science, Prayagraj (U.P.) India. The experimental field's soil had a sandy loam texture, a pH of 7.2, a low amount of organic carbon (0.60%), and accessible N (178.48 kg/ha), P (41.3 kg/ha), and K (244.6 kg/ha). Three amounts of farm yard manure -FYM 10 t/ha, FYM 15 t/ha, and FYM 20 t/ha—as well as three distinct gibberellic acids - 100 ppm, 150 ppm, and 200 ppm, make up the treatment. Ten treatments are replicated three times, including the control, were used in the Randomized Block Design (RBD) experiment. The treatment combinations are T1 - FYM 10 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 100 ppm, T2 - FYM 10 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 150 ppm, T3 - FYM 10 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 200 ppm, T4 - FYM 15 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 100 ppm, T5 - FYM 15 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 150 ppm, T6 - FYM 15 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 200 ppm, T7 - FYM 20 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 100 ppm, T8 - FYM 20 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 150 ppm, T9 - FYM 20 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 200 ppm, T10 - Control- N:P:K 120:60:40 kg/ha. Findings of the investigation briefly summarized as below based on the objectives under taken: The maximum plant height (171.70 cm), plant dry weight (149.97 g/plant), number of cobs per plant (2.00), cob length (21.51 cm), number of grain rows/cob (12.53), number of grains/row (22.20), grain yield (1204.30 kg/ha), stover yield (2113.31 kg/ha) were recorded in (treatment 9) FYM 20 t/ha + Gibberellic acid 200 ppm.
