Abstract:

Six Systemic, one combo fungicide, two fungal and two bacterial antagonist were evaluated In vitro against Pythium aphanidermatum causing Rhizome/Soft rot of ginger. All fungicides and bio-agents were found fungicidal action against test pathogen. Fungicides were evaluated at different concentration. The highest inhibition was observed by Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% @ 0.25% showed 100 percent. The Copper oxychloride 50% WP @ 0.3% (32.66%) was found least effective in controlling Pythium aphanidermatum. An eco-friendly method for managing plant diseases by using bio-agents, highest inhibition was observed due to Trichoderma asperellum (66.42%) and lowest due to Bacillus subtilis (33.29%).
