This study aimed to evaluate the effects of replacing traditional concentrate mixtures with Moringa oleifera leaves on the haemato-biochemical parameters of lactating camels. Fifteen multiparous lactating camels were randomly divided into two groups (T1 and T2) and subjected to a 180-day lactation trial. Group T1 received a concentrate without leaf supplementation, T2 received a concentrate with 10% Moringa oleifera leaves. Haematological and biochemical parameters were measured at the beginning and end of the study. The results indicated no significant differences (p>0.05) in haemoglobin, packed cell volume (PCV), mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH) and serum biochemical parameters, including total protein, albumin, globulin, albumin-globulin ratio and cholesterol among the treatment groups. The findings suggest that the inclusion of Moringa oleifera leaves in the diet does not adversely affect the haemato-biochemical health of lactating camels.
