Abstract:

Before any initiative, training, demonstration, or government development program can be properly designed and implemented, it must first conduct socioeconomic circumstances research. The goal of this study was to evaluate The economic aspect traits of fish farmers in the Warangal area, including their employment, education, revenue from farming and other non-farm activities, including aquaculture, as well as the state of fish farming and their means of subsistence. The principal players in the fisheries industry are fish growers. Therefore, understanding the situation of fish farmers in the district is crucial to addressing concerns related to the growth of the fisheries sector. This paper represents an attempt in that direction. Fifty fish farmers are chosen at random from the Warangal district using basic random sampling. According to the current study, the average annual income of fish farmers in the district is much less than the average annual income of Rs. 37,000, indicating that they are economically disadvantaged. Even though 75% of farmers are literate, their overall educational attainment is quite low, with the majority only having completed middle school. The analysis comes to the conclusion that, after looking at every indication, the district’s fish farmer stakeholders are not content with their current state of affairs and that adequate governmental actions are needed to change it.
