Abstract:
A native chicken carcass was presented with the history of sudden death. Post-mortem examination revealed multifocal petechial haemorrhage in junction of proventriculus and gizzard. Haemorrhagic splashes in thigh and leg muscles. Intestinal scraping examination revealed coccidial oocysts and Trichuris egg. High mortality occurs in case of poultry diseases leading to economic loss to the farmers but early diagnosis and use of proper therapeutic measures as well as managemental cares can save the birds from it.
