Abstract:
The Present experiment aims to highlights the Effect of Panchagavya on Growth, Yield and Quality Parameters of Pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata). The Experiment was conducted at Horticulture Research Field, Department of Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during Feb–April, 2023. The Experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design treatment combinations and replicated thrice. The experiment consisted of two factors. Factor 1: Hybrids as TMPU-1827, TMPU-1846 and Factor 2: Different concentrations of Panchagavya To: Control (water spray), T₁: 1.5% spray of Panchagavya, T2: 3% spray of Panchagavya, T3: 4.5% spray of Panchagavya, T4: 6% spray of Panchagavya. Among different concentrations 6% spray of Panchagavya gave better results in Vine length (209.600 cm), Appearance of 1st male flower (30.287), Appearance of 1st female flower (37.517), Days to 50% flowering (35.060), Days to 1st harvest (48.343), Number of fruits per plant (6.653), Diameter of fruit (21.727cm) Average fruit weight (1906.953 g), Average fruit yield per plant (11.437t/ha), Total yield (38.407) TSS (6.050) and Ascorbic acid (0.600). The best interaction results were found in TMPU-1827 along with 6% spray of Panchagavya which gave maximum growth, yield and quality characteristics in Pumpkin.
