Abstract:

A study was conducted during the year 2022-23 to find out the effect of different growth substances on fruit set, yield and quality of custard apple (Annona squamosa L.). The experiment was laid out in factorial randomized block design with twelve treatment combinations which included Gibberellic Acid (50 ppm, 75 ppm, 100 ppm, control) and Brassinolides (control, 0.5 ppm and 1 ppm) at Central Research Station, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola on 15-year old custard apple plantation. From the findings it was observed that GA3 50 ppm and Brassinolides 1 ppm found to have higher fruit set (%), minimum fruit drop (%), maximum number of fruits per plant, fruits yield (kg) per plant, fruits yield (q/ha), TSS, acidity, total sugars, reducing sugars and non-reducing sugars.
