Abstract:

The present experiment entitled “Effect of foliar application of PGR and nutrient on fruit drop, growth, quality and yield of ber (Zizyphus mauritiana Lamk.) cv. Apple Ber under Chhattisgarh plain condition” was conducted during the year 2022-23 at Horticulture Research Farm under Pt. K.L.S. COH, Rajnandgaon (C.G.). Foliar application of different plant growth regulators and nutrients had significant effect on fruiting and yield of cv. Apple Ber. The results showed significant effect on fruiting parameters i.e. Days taken for initiation of flowering (6.30), days taken for 50% flowering (14.30), days taken for 100% flowering (24.20), fruit set (%) (94.25%), fruit drop (%) (45.26%), fruit retention (48.76) and fruit volume (CC) (24.12) and yield parameters fruit size (5.47 cm), fruit weight (72.14 g), number of fruits per trees (412) and fruit yield per tree (29.40 kg) benefit were significantly improved by foliar application of GA3 @40 ppm (T2).
