In the present times the high crop yield demands have led to depletion of micronutrients from the soil. The so-called complete fertilizers containing N: P: K fertilizers does not provide sufficient nutrition for proper growth and development of plants. Integrated application of macronutrients with micronutrients in adequate amount is essential as their deficiency have constrained the sustainable growth of plants. Therefore, the present investigation was carried out to check the effect of different micronutrients i.e. zinc, manganese, boron and iron in different concentrations and combinations on vegetative growth, flowering and yield of chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat.) cv. DFR C–3 during 2022-23 and 2023- 24 at Model Floriculture Centre, Pantnagar (Uttarakhand). The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications comprising of nine treatments. The results showed that combined application of soil and foliar spray of micronutrient in different concentrations i.e. Zn (5 kg/ha) + Mn (5 kg/ha) + B (2 kg/ha) + Fe (2.5 kg/ha) Fe soil application + Zn EDTA + Mn EDTA + B + Fe EDTA (@ 0.1% each foliar application) has proved to be better for chrysanthemum growth and development under open field conditions. Thus, it can be concluded that plants that received micronutrient application has shown significant results as compared to plants that received no micronutrient application.
