Abstract:

A field experiment was conducted during Rabi season of 2024-25 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences to determine “Effect of Calcium and Sulphur on growth and yield of Groundnut”. The treatments consisted of three levels of Calcium (25, 50 and 75 kg/ha), Sulphur (15, 25, 35 kg/ha) along with recommended doses of fertilizer and a control (25-40-50 kg N-P-K/ha). The results revealed that the significantly higher plant height (34.54 cm), maximum number of nodules/plant (30.6), maximum plant dry weight (37.58 g), maximum number of pods/plant (26.73), Seed index (43.13), were recorded in treatment 6 [Calcium 50 kg/ha + Sulphur 35 kg/ha].
