Field evaluation of fungicides against early blight of tomato caused by Alternaria solani

Abstract:

Early blight of tomato disease caused by Alternaria solani is an important fungal disease of tomato which causes considerable yield loss to the crop. The present study was carried out to know the efficacy of different fungicides against early blight of tomato caused by Alternaria solani. Results revealed that Azoxystrobin 11% + Tebuconazole 18% was found best in reducing the disease severity (15.63%) and getting higher yields (202.25 q/ha) followed by Carbendazim 12% + mancozeb 63%. Propineb was found least effective in managing the disease.
