MR Parmar, CS Baladhiya and Jalpa Dobariya
Drying is most extensively used treatment, which wishes to be finished very cautiously and preciously so one can maintain the bioactive compound of powder of the leaves. Drying treatment and experimental technique hot air tray drying, fluidized bed drying and green house drying had been finished at the temperatures of 50 °C, 60 °C and 70 °C to find and suggest the most effective drying situation for obtaining satisfactory dried guava leaves powder and bioactive compound like phenol, flavanoid and antioxidant activity of guava leaves. Results have revealed that ‘general drying time’ is appreciably decreased with the growth in drying air temperatures from 50 °C to 70 °C. It could be recommended that for the satisfactory green house drying for guava leaves to preserve the numerous bioactive compound as phenol, flavanoid and antioxidant activity. It is also found out that guava leaves powder may be saved for 180 days.
