Abstract:

Guava is a popular annual plant growing in many agriculture areas of the world. Immediately after its harvesting, the distinctly perishable raw material, i.e. leaves, ought to be preserved in opposition to deterioration and spoilage. Greater frequently, in the course of top period, maximum of the crop is lost/wasted because of loss of proper post-harvest processing techniques. In the present look at the efforts were made to prepare the powder of guava leaves by making use of distinct drying method viz. Tray drying, Fluidized bed drying and Greenhouse drying. The drying turned into achieved at one-of-a-kind temperatures 50 °C, 60 °C and 70 °C. At a low temperature, the greenhouse dryer took lower time for whole drying of guava leaves as comparing to the tray dryer and fluidized bed dryer. As temperature extended from 50 °C to 70 °C, the moisture loss accelerated.
