A field experiment was conducted on proso millet during Zaid season of 2024 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy at SHUATS in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India. The treatment consisted of seed inoculation with either Azotobacter or Azospirillum in combination with Nitrogen at 30 kg/ha or Nano urea at 4 ml/l (applied at 30 DAS) or Nitrogen at 15 kg/ha or Nano urea at 2 ml/l (applied at 30 and 45 DAS) including control. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized block design (RBD) with nine treatments replicated thrice. Seed inoculation with Azospirillum with Nano urea 4 ml/l at 30 DAS recorded maximum growth attributes namely plant height (92.74 cm), plant dry weight (8.13g), tillers/plant (7.96) and yield attributes namely seeds/panicle (323.8), panicle length (28.52 cm), test weight (4.72 g), grain yield (1.69 t/ha) and benefit cost ratio (1.67).
