The current study was conducted to assess the influence of plant hormones and nutrients on nutritional and phytochemical parameters of Mango cv. Langra under western Odisha condition. The experiment was conducted at experimental plot, College of Horticulture, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Chiplima, Sambalpur during the year 2022-23 in Randomized Block Design with eight treatments replicated thrice. The treatments included were T1: Paclobutrazol (Soil application)-4 ml per m of canopy diameter, T2: Foliar spray of KNO3 @ 2%, T3: Foliar spray of Ethephon @ 500 ppm, T4: Foliar spray of Ethephon @ 1000 ppm, T5: Paclobutrazol (Soil application)-4 ml per m of canopy diameter + Foliar spray of KNO3 @ 2%, T6: Paclobutrazol (Soil application)-4 ml per m of canopy diameter + Foliar spray of Ethephon @ 500 ppm, T7: Paclobutrazol (Soil application)-4 ml per m of canopy diameter + Foliar spray of Ethephon @ 1000 ppm, T8: Control (Water). The results obtained on various parameters regarding flowering, yield and yield attributing parameters were taken and analysed. The results revealed that the highest flavonoids, phenol, vitamin C, amino acid, protein and carbohydrate content (9.525 mg/g, 97.740 mg/g, 30.674 mg/g, 653 mg/g, 9.26 g/100 g, 29.35 g/100 g) respectively were recorded in plants treated with paclobutrazol (Soil application)-4 ml per m of canopy diameter + Foliar spray of KNO3 @ 2% (T5), whereas the lowest flavonoids, phenol, Vitamin C, amino acid protein and carbohydrate content (2.599 mg/g, 22.080 mg/g,20.234 mg/g,587 mg/g, 6.45 g/100 g & 22.54 g/100 g) were observed in control (T8). From the present study, it may be inferred that application of growth retardant like paclobutrazol along with potassium containing nutrients is superior to all other treatments with respect to important nutritional and phytochemical attributes contributing towards the better yield in mango cv. Langra during off year under Western Odisha condition.
