Abstract:

The present field experiment was conducted at Research farm, College of agriculture, Gwalior (M.P.) in year 2022-23 with “Influence of foliar spray of salicylic acid on growth, yield and quality of onion (Allium cepa L.)”. The experiment was laid out in the Randomized Block Design with three replications. Each replication was comprised of twelve treatments consisting the foliar spray of salicylic acid @ 150 mg/l were applied in onion (Allium cepa L.) Nasik Red (N-53). Result concluded that the foliar spray of salicylic acid @ 150 mg/l was significantly influenced the different growth, yield and quality parameters of onion. The treatment T5 (1st spray of SA 30 DAT and 2nd spray of SA 45 DAT) was found the best treatment among all the treatments and it also gave the maximum growth, yield and quality parameters. However, the minimum growth, yield and quality parameters were recorded in treatment T1 (Control-No spray at any stage of plant).
