Abstract:

The present investigation consists of fifty-two genotypes of fodder drumstick was conducted at the Grass Breeding Scheme, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri during kharif 2023. The correlation and path analysis study were carried out in various character associated with green forage yield. In path analysis, leaf breadth showed highest direct positive effect on green forage yield followed by number of primary branches plant-1, leaf length, dry matter yield plant-1 and plant height. Considering both correlation coefficient as well as path analysis simultaneously, plant height, leaf breadth, number of primary branches plant-1, leaf length, dry matter yield plant-1 and crude protein yield plant-1were found to be true components of green forage yield in fodder drumstick and with current set of genotypes focus should be placed on these characters in order to improve green forage yield.
