Abstract:

A field experiment was conducted at the Crop Research Centre (CRC) of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut during year 2022 and 2023 to study the influence of nano and bio fertilizers on physic-chemical properties of soil in maize crop. The soil in the experimental field was sandy clay loam in texture, low in organic carbon, available nitrogen, and medium in available phosphorus, potassium, and zinc, with a mildly alkaline reaction. The experiment consists of different nano fertilizers along with seed inoculation using azospirillum and phosphate solubilizing bacteria. There were 12 treatments each replicated thrice and laid out in a Randomised Complete Block Design. Application of 75% RDN (recommended dose of nitrogen) + nano urea and nano zinc spray at knee high and tasseling stage + seed inoculation with Azospirillum and Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria has shown significant effect on the available nutrients of soil and organic carbon whereas there was no significant changes in soil pH, EC and bulk density.
