Relational analysis between profile of turmeric growers and attitude of turmeric growers towards the use of biomix

Abstract:

The present study was undertaken with the main objective to study the relationship between profile of turmeric growers and attitude of turmeric growers towards the use of biomix. The study was conducted in Parbhani and Hingoli district of Marathwada region of Maharashtra. Total 120 respondents were selected purposively. The data was collected by personal interview and “Ex-Post-Facto” research design was used for conducting the study. The collected data was processed and statistically analyzed by using statistical tools like frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation and coefficient of correlation. Among the eleven independent variables, Education, knowledge, social participation, extension contact and mass media exposure shows positive and highly significant relationship with attitude of turmeric growers towards the use of biomix at 0.01 level of significance. Land holding, area under turmeric crop, annual income and risk orientation shows positive and significant relationship with attitude at 0.05 level of significance. Family size and farming experience shows negative and non significant relationship with attitude of turmeric growers towards the use of biomix.
