Abstract:

The present study was investigated to evaluate the effect of Pseudomonas fluorescens on brown spot (Helminthosporium oryzae) of paddy (Oryza sativa L.). Seven different treatments with three replications of paddy were planted in a randomized block design. At the research plot of the Central Research Field, Department of Plant Pathology, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj during Kharif season of 2023. The minimum percent disease intensity was recorded in T5- Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1% (SD) + Propiconazole @ 0.1% (FS) (21.15) followed by T3- Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1% (SD) + Azoxystrobin @ 0.1% (FS) (24.31). Maximum plant height (102.08 cm), number of tillers (30.86), panicle length (21.71 cm), yield (5.78 t/ha) and cost benefit ratio (1:3.39) were found in T5- Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 1% (SD) + Propiconazole @ 0.1% (FS) when compared to untreated check.
