The present investigation was carried out to study the “Studies on the influence of seed treatments on germination and seedling vigour of tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.)” at Horticulture Farm, Department of Fruit Science, College of Agriculture, IGKV, Raipur (C.G) in the year 2023-24. The experiment was laid out in a compelety randomized design (CRD) with three replications and ten treatments. Finding indicate that early initiation of germination (5.13 days) was observed in the treatment of mechanical scarification at 30 DAS. Seeds treated with GA3 150 ppm recorded maximum germination percentage (96.67 %) at 30 DAS, plant height (57.01 cm), number of leave per seedling (61.01), collar girth (2.31 cm), fresh weight of shoot (25.48 g), dry weight of shoot (8.13 g), root: shoot ratio (0.62), seedling vigour index-I (9185.93), seedling vigour index-II (1272.37), survival percentage (96.55 %).
