Abstract:
The present investigation entitled “Fortification of chickpea through Fe, Zn, B & Mo " was conducted during the Rabi season of 2023-2024 at Net House, Soil Science Section, College of Agriculture, Nagpur. The experiment was carried out using pot culture method. It was framed in Completely Randomized Design with eight treatments comprises T1: Water spray at 25 DAS, T2: Water spray at 50 DAS, T3: 5 ml L-1 at 25 DAS, T4: 5 ml L-1 at 50 DAS, T5: 7.5 ml L-1 at 25 DAS, T6: 7.5 ml L-1 at 50 DAS, T7: 10 ml L-1 at 25 DAS, T8: 10 ml L-1 at 50 DAS. Foliar application of PDKV micronutrient grade X had a significant effect on the nutrient content in chickpea straw. Pot T6 (7.5 ml L-1 at 50 DAS) resulted in highest nutrient content and uptake of N (13.82 mg plant-1), P (4.39 mg plant-1) and K (10.44 mg plant-1). Additionally, T6 led to significantly higher uptake of micronutrients, including Fe (0.100 mg plant-1), Mn (0.039 mg plant-1), Cu (0.012 mg plant-1), Zn (0.020 mg plant-1) and B (0.017 mg plant-1). Moreover, the highest micronutrient content in chickpea straw was observed with the application of foliar grade X micronutrient at 10 ml L-1 @ 50 DAS (T8).
