Abstract:

The present investigation entitled “Standardization of various concentration of polyamines on growth and yield of mango (Mangifera indica L.) cv. Kesar” was carried out at Fruit Research Station Himayat Bagh, Aurangabad during 2023-24. The objective was to study the effect of polyamines on yield of mango cv. Kesar. An experiment was laid out in Randomized block design (RBD) with ten treatments combination with three replications. The treatments are T1 - Spermine @ 0.1 mM, T2 - Spermine @ 0.01 mM, T3 -Spermine @ 0.05 mM, T4 - Putrescine @ 0.1 mM, T5 - Putrescine @ 0.01 mM, T6 -Putrescine @ 0.05 mM, T7 - Spermidine @ 0.1 mM, T8 - Spermidine @ 0.01 mM, T9- Spermidine @ 0.05 mM, and T10 - Control (No Spray). The study found that Spermine @ 0.01 mM (T2) significantly boosted flowering and fruit set, yielding the highest flower count (3617.07), fruit retention (17.20%), and overall yield (10.94 kg), with minimal fruit drop (82.80%). Spermine @ 0.1 mM (T1) further enhanced fruit quality, achieving the best measurements in fruit length, diameter, weight, and volume. In contrast, the control (T10) recorded the lowest values across growth and yield parameters.
