Dhirender PS Solanki and Dr. MM Masu
The research experiment entitled "Effect of irrigation on fruit yield attributing characters of mango var. Mallika" was carried out during the summer season of 2022 and 2023 at Horticulture Research Farm, Anand Agricultural University, located in Anand (Gujarat). The study followed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with ten treatments and four replication. Irrigation was given at pea stage, marble stage, 20 days and 40 days after marble stage according to the treatments. All treatments received 640 liters of water per tree at different growth stages (pea stage, marble stage, 20 and 40 days after marble stage). In the pooled analysis, T10 (Irrigation at pea stage, marble stage, 20 days and 40 days after marble stage) showed greater Fruit length (13.57 cm), Fruit diameter (8.33 cm), Fruit weight (341.98 g), Pulp weight (265.85 g), Number of fruits per tree (195.27) and Fruit yield (69.14 kg/tree). Based on two years of research, irrigation at pea stage, marble stage, 20 days and 40 days after marble stage resulted maximum value of yield attributing characters of mango.
