Abstract:

Seven wheat genotypes with different seed weight were laid out in a spit plot design under three replications in three different environmental conditions they are, normal environment condition, water stress environment condition, heat stress environment condition. 60 spikes were tagged on the day of anthesis in all three environments to record observations. Days to anthesis and physiological maturity were noted down. Observations were recorded for grain length and grain width at 20 DAA, 40 DAA and PM. Result showed that normal environment condition and water stress environment had better performance in grain dimensions growth rate in all genotypes as compared to under heat stress environment. Among genotypes the bold seeded had higher grain dimensions growth rate followed by medium seeded genotypes and small seeded genotypes had lowest grain growth dimensions rate in all categories.
