The present investigation, entitled " Evaluation of different kokum (Garcinia indica Choisy) genotypes for floral morphology”. carried out at the College of Horticulture, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli, Dist. Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, during the years 2021-22 to 2022-23. The objective of this investigation was to study the variation in morpho- physical characters, among different kokum genotypes. The study was conducted on forty kokum seedling trees at the full-bearing stage, randomly selected from the kokum plot at the College of Horticulture, Dapoli. Out of them, thirty were gynoecious females and ten were andromonoecious, all forty-three years old. The experiment was laid out in a (RBD), with forty genotypes acting as treatments, Observations were recorded on Morphology of flowers in different kokum genotypes such as Length of flowers (mm), breadth of flowers (mm), colour of sepal and color of petal. The results of this study indicated significant variability among all genotypes. While studying floral morphological parameters, it was observed that flower length varied significantly among different genotypes, ranging from (4.81 to 12.58 mm) with an average length of (7.35 mm). Flower breadth ranged significantly from (5.32 to 9.13 mm) with an average of (7.26 mm). The highest flower breadth (9.13 mm) was recorded in genotype DPLK-270, while the lowest flower breadth (5.32 mm) was noted in genotype DPLK-233. Petal color ranged from pale yellow (RHS2015 12 C) to brilliant yellow (RHS2015 11 A), while sepal color ranged from light olive (RHS2015 152 B) to strong greenish yellow (RHS2015 151 C).
