The present investigation entitled “Biochemical variations of bangla betelvine genotypes for quality traits” was conducted in the shade net (50%) at Dr. YSRHU - College of Horticulture, Anantharajupeta, Andhra Pradesh during 2023-24. The research was carried out using 20 genotypes in 2 replications following randomised block design. The genotypes used in the study were CARI – 6, CARI – 2, Bangla Vizag, UttrePan, Sada Bangla, Awami Pan, Kali Bangla, Kala Bhagnini, Bankura Bangla, Godi Bangla, Kutki Bangla, Jabalpur Bangla, Bilhari, Malvi, Bangla Mandsore, Calcuttia Bangla, Maghai, Bangla Gunmala, GN Hybrid and SGM – 1.This experiment focused to evaluate biochemical variations among bangla betelvine genotypes at 6 months duration of the crop growth period using parameters like protein, carbohydrates, total phenol, ascorbic acid, total chlorophyll and flavonoids. The results of the present study revealed that among all the biochemical parameters highest protein content was observed in CARI-6 (0.205 mg g-1) whereas, Bankura Bangla (6.41 g 100 g-1) recorded highest carbohydrate content. Maximum ascorbic content was observed in Kala Bhagnini (29.70 mg 100 g-1), phenol content in CARI- 2 (35.43 mg 100 g-1). Sada Bangla genotype showed maximum chlorophyll content (68.26 SPAD value), The maximum flavonoid content was observed in Bangla Vizag (11.20 mg g1).
