Abstract:

A field investigation is carried out in kharif 2021-22 and 2022-23 under irrigated condition at Cotton Research Unit, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, on “Response of fertigation levels and canopy management practices on dry matter partitioning in bt cotton in Vidarbha region”. The experiment was laid out in split plot design with three replications and sixteen treatment combinations. Experimental results observed that, genotype PDKV JKAL-116 (BG-II) Bt hybrid had significantly higher dry matter partitioning and total dry matter content, than PKV Hy-2 Bt genotype under drip fertigation. Among the split application of nutrients, it was observed that, 125 percent recommended dose of N and K (150:75 kg NK ha-1) significantly higher dry matter portioning g plant-1 and total dry matter content g plant-1 than lower fertigation levels i.e 100 per cent recommended dose of N and K (120:60 kg NK ha-1). In canopy management practices indicates that, canopy management practices, like Monopodia removal at 60 DAS and detopping at 75-80 DAS (C2) observed significantly higher dry matter portioning g plant-1 and total dry matter content g plant-1 over all the other canopy management practices and control.
