Abstract:

The present experiment entitled “Qualitative and Quantitative characterization of jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) genotypes for yield and biotic stresses was carried out at the Dr. YSRHU-Horticultural Research station, Venkataramannagudem, Andhra Pradesh during the year 2023-2024. Results recorded that maximum leaf blade length was recorded in Acc-7 (15.93 cm), while leaf blade width in Acc-17 (11.73 cm). Further fruit weight was maximum in the genotype Acc-18 (15.13 kg), fruit length was recorded in the genotype Acc-18 (51.80 cm) and yield per tree in the genotype Acc-15 (631.3 kg). Percent incidence of fruit rot (20.13%), rhizopus fruit rot/male flower bud (19.34%) was maximum in the genotype Acc-15 and maximum severity of leaf spot (4.13%) was recorded in the genotype Acc-12. The maximum mean incidence of fruit borer (10.44%) and shoot borer (10.43%) was observed in the genotype Acc-15.
