Abstract:

The experiment entitled “Performance of Turmeric (Curcuma longa. Linn) Genotypes at Nursery Stage” The experiment was laid in the year 2023-24, in an Augmented block design with 50 genotypes and with 4 check varieties- B.S.R-2, Rajendra Sonia, Mydhukur, Dr. YSRHU Lam Swarna. The highest plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, petiole length, curcumin content (leaves) recorded in the genotype LTS- 33. There is a significant variation in growth parameters and curcumin content among the turmeric genotypes except for plant height, leaf length, number of leaves at nursery stage. By the variations present in the turmeric genotypes at nursery stage we can easily evaluate the turmeric genotypes for its superiority.
